山手線の落書き防げ スプレーはじく特殊塗料で覆う

落書き、もうさせません――。東日本旅客鉄道（ＪＲ東日本）は、山手線の周辺の落書き対策に本格的に乗り出す。鉄道施設やガード下の壁を特殊な塗料で覆い、スプレーやペンキによる落書きをはじくようにする。これまで同社が落書きを消しても、また繰り返される「イタチごっこ」の状態だったという。
白色の塗料などで落書きを消し、特殊な塗料でコーティングする。スプレー塗料などが付きにくく、付いた場合でも専用の洗剤を使うことで汚れを簡単にふき取れる。
特殊な塗料を使うため、１カ所当たりの費用は通常の２倍の約200万円かかる見込み。同社は５月末から、渋谷駅や原宿駅周辺のガード下などで落書き対策を始め、３年以内に100カ所で実施する予定だ。
